MEDIA AGENCY OF THE YEAR
SOLE / LEAD DESIGNER
A ‘Marketing Magazine’, Media Agency of the Year submission for Carat. The design brief asked for a slick, contemporary document to house various work examples and client testimonials, whilst adhering to their brand guidelines. This substantial project involved the design of the document, photography (both abstract and portrait), collating content (from various contributors from across the agency), as well as arranging print production and delivery.
The design focused on a crisp, clean layout that was both dynamic and flexible, able to show off a varied range/type of content. Daring and stylish use of white space coupled with bold typography and large imagery created a high-impact look. The photography – the majority of which was taken for the submission – used tightly cropped portraits treated with Carat brand colour cyan overlays to create a feeling of genuine insight, peering into the very heart of the brand and its people.
Carat came a close second in the award, losing out to three-time winner PHD. The booklet itself was well received across the agency, with design/look and feel being highly commended.
